I have the 1L version of this kettle and it's absolutely killer (I do wish I got the 1.7L though). Never missed a beat through probably 200L of water (if not more) used for coffee and tea throughout the whole range.
Also a secret tip if you like absinthe. Fill the kettle with cold water and ice, then turn it on. It will read the temp and begin to boil. IMMEDIATELY lift the kettle so it stops heating. The temp will continue to display all the way down to 0C! Once you're in the <2C range you can pour directly from the kettle to your drinks and form a fantastic louche. Really great way to do it. DO NOT heat the kettle after this though. When you're finished making absinthe drain the kettle and leave it to dry. Once it's roughly tapwater temp on the inside bottom you can put more water in it and heat it up as usual.
