I have a similar model (BV1900TS), which differs only in that it has a thermal carafe instead of glass, and does not have a warming plate. I like mine quite well - it brews quickly and produces good tasting coffee. It is also easy to disassemble and clean, which I found out after having bought mine off of craigslist, and so it had some mineral buildup. I no longer do pourover in on weekday mornings since this is so easy. I actually do not like the thermal carafe (awkward to pour, and does not dry completely) and have been looking for someplace that has this glass carafe in stock. Some people do not like having the brew basket rest directly on top of the carafe, and I too was apprehensive at first, but have come to prefer it. The reason is that it will never drip onto the warming plate (non-warming in my case), and I can just carry the whole setup over to my trashcan to dump the filter and grounds.

Thanks! I just ordered a glass carafe. With shipping, it costs the same as I paid for the BV1900TS, which is pretty ridiculous. I usually pour my coffee straight from the carafe into my Contigo, so no need for the double wall - thanks for checking though!
