I had this model and absolutely loved it. Just a word of caution, the base of the kettle is very fragile and not able to withstand drops; it cracks easily and there is no replacement available. Also, if you turn the unit on ONCE without water in it, it overheats in about 30 seconds, trips a non-reversible thermal cutoff and renders the entire unit completely useless.

DPetrilloYou can actually purchase replacement kettles. I recently replaced the kettle on my 1.7L version once due to a broken hinge (this was the old, non goose neck version). You need to call Bonavita's support and they will give you an item number to purchase from Espresso Supply (https://espressosupply.com/) and then you have to call Espresso Supply to order the kettle.

EnekkWhat's the item number from espresso supply, is there a link where it can be found on their site, and how much was the replacement?

llamaboxThe part number is 29620 and it cost $39.99. The reason it isn't on their site is that they want you to talk to Bonavita first.
