This coffee pot owns. I have the carafe version that I got for the same price as the one from this drop, and it makes a damn fine cup of coffee. I did get some stress cracking on the glass water reservoir on mine after a couple of months though. Fortunately I was able to file a warranty claim and Bonavita sent me a new one free of charge.

I bought one of these and it made GREAT coffee. However, I absolutely HATED that the grounds holder rested on the thermal carafe WITHOUT the lid on. So basically you either have a loose lid or a loose grounds basket floating around. Very annoying. Returned it and got a Technivorm.

KrustyboomerThe version with the SS carafe is even more annoying: you can't actually empty the carafe all the way because of the shoulder in the lid design. I'd trade for a glass-carafe version that's easier to wash in a heartbeat.
It is a great coffeemaker, though. :)

I don't know if anyone else got theirs today but mine has broken bits all over the place. The lid hinge. The part on the main body that holds the hinge in place. Part of a piece that hold the part of the top piece of the unit to the main body. I hope this is not indicative of the quality of Bonvita products. Already emailed support. Hopefully it will be replaced.
