Yes you could replace the 120V transformer with the 240V transformer. There are some terminal strips attached to the mounting screws that you would just have to reattach, and several diodes and wires that need to be reattached. An easier, cost effective alternative is simply to buy the appropriate 120V to 240V step up or 240V to 120V step down transformer when the time comes. We have many customers who have used that setup and found the sound to be just as good. A 100VA stepup or stepdown should be more than adequate and I am seeing those selling for around $35-$70 online.

DocBThanks for the response Doc, I appreciate it. I have actually considered getting a step up transformer so I might have to give them a second look (I could always just build one...).<br /><br />I think I'll pass on this drop though, tempting as it is most of my serious gear are planars (LCD-2 and HE-500 get the most listening time). If the S.E.X pops up, count me in :)
