The Guardian 4 is an outdoorsman’s fixed blade made from a hefty chunk of CPM-3V steel—a high-carbon steel made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, which is designed to hold an edge in situations where chipping and breakage are common. On this drop, you can also choose Bohler's M390 steel (+ $15). Heat treated by the lauded Peters Heat Treat (hence the logo on the blade), it’s designed to stand up to harsh treatment in the field whether you’re camping, fishing, or defending yourself. With a 4-inch blade and total length of 9 inches, the knife is large enough for skinning, chopping, and other tough tasks. You can even hammer the butt of the handle for extra power. The three-dimensional handle is sculpted for superior ergonomics in the hand, providing a natural grip when wet, hot, or grimey. It’s available in micarta, carbon fiber or G-wood, which is a unique blend of G-10 and wood. Also included is a handmade leather sheath for belt carry.
