Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

- The packaging and extras on these are outstanding. Love the cases and all the extra tips, including some Complys. Pretty great stuff there.
- The M5s are really, really bad for even the sale price on Amazon ($25). I had a pair of headphones die in an airport and picked up some SkullCandy earbuds for $22 (and that's airport pricing!) and they blow these out of the water. From fit, to sound clarity and especially bass response the M5s are simply not in the same category. I'll throw these in my backpack with the awesome case and extra tips for an emergency.
- The B100s can only be described as 'responsive.' The sound clarity is pretty fantastic for the retail price of $60, but again, the bass simply doesn't exist. These are the perfect headphones for folks who don't listen to hip-hop or bass heavy music. They made podcasts and movies richer and more enjoyable. And they don't even sound bad for hip-hop, but it just feels like there is an itch not being scratched in the bass department. I'll probably use these for watching movies on airplanes due to the awesome range and great sound.
All in all, I paid $50 and I feel like I got one $40 pair and one $10 pair. I don't feel like I got short changed, but almost two years ago, I joined the Massdrop for the Nuforce NE-600X In Ear Monitors. I got two pairs for $14 delivered and they were far and away better than either of these. One pair died on that airport trip when an earbud fell into my beer and the other pair got caught on a door handle and one bud died. Otherwise, I'd still be using them and definitely, definitely would be wearing them over these.
