This is my first Massdrop purchase. I have to say I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to think at how long it is taking to get my purchase. It will be one month in five days and I still haven't received anything. If I receive the basic model from the two I ordered I'm afraid I'm going to be under the impression that I should just order in a much more direct fashion in the future.

if you want something fast, buy it direct or from a major retailer.
this is a grab bag, you have a CHANCE to win something better, but you gotta be willing to wait a bit.
massdrop isnt for people in a hurry.

It's funny, this is the exact reason that this is the first drop I've joined. There have been other drops that would have been nice to join, but they were for things I was in a hurry to get and having read comments on here before I knew of the wait most drops have.
It's a bit shocking seeing so many seemingly inept people on Massdrop. If they aren't complaining about the order speed then they're asking questions that were already answered on the previous page.....

I'm going to echo the comments of other people here. When you joined this drop, all of the information was RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. There is even a separate box stating clearly "Estimated ship date is Sep 9, 2015."

I have to agree with other person regarding this drop. I have been in several drops including MeeElectronics drop. MeeElectronics drop shipped out by the manufacturer and had headphones in my mailbox same day I got shipping notification. It had same number of participants, about same number in prizes as this drop...
When they announced shipping would be handled by MD, I knew I would not see my items for extended period of time. It is MD and that is how they have done their business before. MD has conditioned people like you to expect mediocrity as norm. If it was Amazon shipping and they missed 2 day shipping by 1 day, most will call and complain. MD miss original estimate ship date and you all put people under scrutiny for expecting the expected. So, estimate 2 day shipping by Amazon or other seller is just estimate as well and no one should complain if we follow your logic. They are all "estimates." but other sellers will adhere to that estimate and will try to make it right if they miss that estimate, or have consequences. NOT here! It is perfectly fine to miss the "estimate" ship date. We all understand and won't complain, and we will put down few whom will say otherwise. I find this quite odd.

I don't find anything odd about this. For most deals (not all) you get an extreme discount for being part of a bulk buy. You trade that discount for an extended shipping date. And some of these deals have a much, much higher number of participants than was reasonably expected. If you read the update we were all emailed the manufacturer on this one couldn't meet the demand. So they decided to include an even higher grade IEM for the drop. Increasing the value for a lot of participants. Unfortunately yes, that means we have to wait a week or two extra. We all agree that's not ideal, but this, "You are assuming that I didn't read the details or see the estimated ship date D-Bag. I did from the beginning and my perspective still holds true." - Sumladar, helps no one. Let's keep it fun and friendly all, the way Massdrop was meant to be.

i guess the fact i have worked on their end in shipping/receiving and know how shipment times are dependant on how quickly stuff gets to them, then how quickly they can break down the orders and ship them.
its like why i dont get mad if my fast food takes a few min...i been on their end....
you cant really relate...so you get frustrated/angry....

exactly, im not mussed, i got 2 coming, i knew it wouldnt be a direct ship drop, i have been doing stuff like this longer tne mass drops been around.
pre-ordering stuff waiting for your shipment to come in due to short supplies.....
biggest was my videocard years ago....the x800xt pe/provivo where in VERY short supply, it took 6 shipments for my number to pop....that was close to 2 months....i was excited and frustrated but, i got a discount from the company i ordered threw that made the asus version with all its extras the same price as the card only models others where selling.....so i was stoked.
this to me, is no big deal.....you dont do a mass drop if you are really that worried about getting stuff fast.....my akg 553pro's came pretty quick despite waiting on breakdown and re-ship time....and i love them.....got a great price to...(they are worth every penny*2)

@Sumladar i think you need to take a time out and chill, no call to name call and get all bent out of shape...if i dont see my order by the end of the week i may be upset....
if you want something fast www.amazon.com is probably your best bet.

That person could have definitely worded response better. FYI, I still dont have tracking and it is past Sept 9 estimated, which was also postponed original estimate. I am not complaining as I am aware and accustomed to how MD do things. I am just saying as a person who makes living from service industry, if I am overloaded with client requests, I would rather not sleep and meet them as supposed to not meeting my promise to them. That is just me and probably most other successful enterprises on how they maintain relationship with people. I just don't see that urgency on MD. I am just basing this on about ten drops I was involved with. Again, not complaining as I expected as much.

If you're Canadian expect it to be weeks longer than what our American counterparts get, I can't imagine what it's like for the Euros or the Aussies. To me that's part of the fun of a Grab Bag, the suspense but definitely not the long wait (but part of the game).

Ditto. It is 9/15, and I still have not received any shipping info. This is my second drop. I am very patient so I will continue to wait. I would say the discount is usually not that extreme. For some of the products I can find comparable prices or just a little bit higher elsewhere. I'm doing this drop because of the thrill of winning something. My primary e-commerce source will be Amazon / eBay / Jet, etc. This is definitely a very slow way to buy.
