got M5s without mic, to be honest, at first i was kind of impressed by everything that's included, an actually good hard carrying case, tips with different opening sizes and comply foam tips
then I got to the headphones, first off I was surprised by the bass on these cans, it had the right amount of 'thwomp' without going all out and electronic music sounds amazing through these. Electronic music that is.
So then I went to something that wasn't electronic, since it's not my 'main genre' anymore, started King Kunta aaaanndd there's the M5s weak side, vocals.
To keep it short, they drown under the bass and low end, it's barely tolerable
Equalizing helped to a certain extent, but soundcloud for example does not utilize the equalizer which means if I want to listen to something on there, guess who's not gonna have a good time.
For 25$ I can't complain too much, I wasn't happy with how little bass the A151p had and now it's too much.
Are you using a DAC or are you just going straight off of audio from a computer or mobile device? One of mine was an S5 and it sounds like mud without a DAC, but is a completely different experience when plugged into a DAC.
using them without a dac, because I was planning on using them with a mobile device
