So I got a defective M5 (Left channel volume is only 80% of what right is, and muddy. Might have put in the wrong driver when assembling.), and Massdrop isn't replying, Brainwavz say they have no stock to replace the defective one (and offered a cheaper alternative, setting aside the script monkey offshore CS department that asked the same question over and over) - just brilliant.
WeirdGUnfortunately yes and yes. The other one I got works just fine, and I also happen to have 10 other IEMs that work just fine on all three devices (iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, Galaxy S4) I tested. Cleaning the plug with rubbing alcohol didn't do anything either.
asdabcI'll give that a shot (or at least try tape first, to see if that makes a difference) - but that definitely sounds like a flawed design - I can confirm that even on the better sounding side the M5 isn't a product I'd recommend buying retail price.
On a side note, I got a update regarding the RMA and the instructions are very weird, to a point it makes me wonder if it's a scam or not. They asked me to cut the earphones up in four places, and attach a picture. This sounds a bit mad, and if it's cheaper for them to destroy the earphones than get them back and repair them, I'm starting to wonder how much these are really worth. :(

If that doesn't work, then you can contact BrainWavz support.

The BrainWavz site says to contact the reseller for warranty issues, which is MD. If that doesn't work, then contact BrainWavz.
