Got the M5's. I hate them. Tiny, high pitched junk. I literally threw them in the trash I hated them so much...

Haha, I got the same thing. I can't remember the last time I was so disappointed.

Yeah man. I was very disappointed in the sound. Worst Massdrop product so far. :(

That's just childish, you could have give them to somebody who would appreciate them more.

EarlGrey,
It's not all that childish. Giving someone your unwanted stuff is one thing, but if a person who got them hates them so much, why would they turn around to a friend and essentially be saying, "Well these IEMs stink, but hey they're free and I only jammed them in my ear canal once! So now you don't have to be an audio hobo and listen on speakers anymore." ;-)

Not everyone is fussy about earphones...have you seen what most people use? shitty default earbuds that come with their phone etc, there's plenty of people who could appreciate such things, and it really is childish, how pathetic do you have to be to whine about not getting great earbuds in a raffle...it was a shot in the dark, that was entire purpose, why the hell would you expect to have mindblowing IEM's at this price in a random raffle? and then moan like a little baby and bin something you just paid for? ridiculous.

You're right that not every one is fussy about earphones (one man's trash is another man's treasure, and all that), and if you were to get the cheapest pair and give them as a gift UNUSED, that's just fine. But it speaks volumes about yourself if the person who gets them from you knows that you bought them for yourself, didn't like them, then you handed it off to them. If I was your friend, I'd feel insulted.
I do agree however, that its childish to whine which earbuds you get in a raffle, but then again, if you're getting the lowest pair on the board, you would at least expect them to work adequately, and not be complete trash. But the funny thing is, the person you're giving grief got the HIGHEST rated earbuds in the raffle, and they were trash. I'd be pretty upset too.

Hey that's great, but you can understand the frustration of the other guy who got the highest quality IEMs and they didn't work properly? I'd be frustrated too. Look through the comments for this drop and you'll see a lot of people complaining about these IEMs (all the models) falling apart. I know they're cheap, but that should not be an expectation for them to fall apart.

Just a quick question. Did you burn them in first or listen to for 10 minutes and junked them.

I used them for about a week in the hopes that they would get better. Kinda like a bad movie that you keep watching hoping it will get better... My mood improved once I took them off and disposed of them.
