I got mine today. It's pretty nifty. I threw an RCA clear top tube in it and it might sound a bit better than the Chinese tube, but both of them are quite 'snappy' up high. Stuff like claps, finger snaps, etc.. are quite crisp. It doesn't outdo my Bottlehead Crack, but it's pretty OK. I'm surprised at the gain. I have it set at 2 of 10 on the volume control and it's loud through my 250 ohm headphones. Purists who love solid state stuff probably aren't impressed with anything this amp does, but it's quirky and fun. I'm taking it to work for all day duty. Things I noticed with mine is that my headphones thump when I turn it off, so I'm going to unplug them before powering it down. Also at low volume the 'balance' is outta whack, which is common among this sort of price range.
