Keep your cell phone away.
It has amazing sound quality but does have interference issues with cell phones quite easily. Like my phone can't be within a couple feet of it.

simple & easy entry into tube amplification. although only a hybrid design, it sold me. mine has good build quality, passive eq a plus.

5 stars for the price
great amp with tons of power for a very small price. they will not destroy the o2 or similar for super-clean audio, but i think they sound great and the built-in eq is fun to mess with. just be careful, the black heat sinks get extremely hot and they are not covered!

Looks good, with no practical use
According to some reviews on YouTube, this is a good entry level headphone amplifier. For my use cases, this is not the case unfortunately: Recently, I had problem with the volume being too low from Raspberry Pi to a set of computer speakers. Unfortunately, this amplifier does not solve the issue. I have to push both the volume (on both amplifier and speakers) and the equalizers to the maximum to reach approximately the same sound volume. And additionally, it is noisy too. Another use case could have been as a pre-amplifier to the main amplifier from a phone or from a laptop: no luck here either. a single jack cable to the amplifier from said devices solves the issue much better. All-in-all the little FX Audio DAC-X3 DAC/Amp works much better. One thing where the Bravo V3 shines is demonstrative purposes: it makes it easy to observe the architecture and the logic how it works. But even then, a DIY project could have much better fit the purpose. Third, it looks good in a glass display case. A little technological gadget most people are glad to look at or to turn it around in their hands.

tiborhI would like to point out that these are headphone amplifiers.

StrawberryseedYes, they are. But for that, extremely noisy. This is why I tried other use cases. Wherever connecting the headphones directly to the device gives good results, this amplifier also works. (But what's the use?) Wherever a device output it too weak for headphones or active speakers, the amplifier is also too weak. (What's the use again?)

Beefy little amp
My Bravo V3 came with the electro-harmonix 6922 tube - sounds quite good. It powers 150ohm HD58X easily - I listen at 9, while 12 is already too loud. I like how V3 sounds on HD58X, while X2HR does not benefit much. V3 has a "geeky"-look that could be cool for some people. V3 provides a lot of room for experimentation - from equalizing frequency response, tubes rolling and all the way up to soldering/modifying components. It could be a great beater to learn more about sound-circuitry relation, if you are into it. Soundwise: First impression, "Chevaliers de Sangreal" by Hans Zimmer, pushed me in the chair like a quarter of whiskey; the second - "Inception Medley" and I hardly breathe. It sounds massive, attacking, energetic, with rumbling low-frequencies - HD58X with volume at 9 - I got lost. Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons: Spring" lack of resolution and accuracy, but all strings sound full-bodied (which I like a lot). If you are into EDM then you'll likely to enjoy it, like I very much enjoyed "Wall Of Strings" by Ben Böhmer. There is a some background hiss and the sound is a bit muddy. Comparing to iPhone dangle, V3 brings you in a different world on HD58X (soundstage, dynamics, energetics, frequencies, ...). Comparing to Heresy amp (if possible), V3 sounds much less resolving, less clean, much less accurate, muddy ... but V3 is engaging. Heresy opens the music-door like a virtuous safecracker with every detail, while V3 opens music like a bazooka with a lot of mess - but both are effective in its own way :-) As a newbie to amplifiers (not music), right after placing my order, I also ordered GE JAN 6189W and Daystrom Nichimen 12AU7 for the tube rolling, assuming that V3 = V2 + EQ and following some suggestions for V2. This was a mistake! As I rolled the 12AU7 and 6189W, only the right channel worked and the left channel was almost silent with some cracks; ok switched back to 6922. Later I found that, by default, V3 works with 6922-compatible tubes only. The compatible tubes are 6DJ8, ECC88, E88CC, CV2493, CV2492, E188CC, 7308, E288CC, ECC189, Cca, 6H23, 7DJ8 / PCC88, 7DJ8 / PCC189. Cool look : either 5* or 1* Experimenting : 5* Sound accuracy: 2* Engagement and attack: 5* Power for headphones: 5* Recommend to any music-tech enthusiast at this price point. Nice tube amp for beginners.
This amp is great. Stock tubes add a spoon of soundstage and relax my Alpha Dogs alot. This powers my very hard to drive Alpha Dogs without any problem. BUT it does get uncomfortably warm. Something you expect from tubes. It also has the weirdest IO i've ever seen so far.

A fun way to try out tube amps, but not great as your one and only amp
On my HD6XX these sound very good, adding a warm and laid back touch to a very gentle and soft pair of headphones. However, on IEMs it has an audible hiss when nothing is playing (signal fed through the SDAC), so I wouldn't recommend using IEMs with it. Overall a fun piece of equipment and I will try out some other tubes with it!

Great looking, but there are better options available for the price
I went for it simply based on the looks. I mean, c'mon a vacuum tube looks awesome. But d your research as there are other amps that provider a better bang for your buck.
