Does this whistle on the stovetop when water is boiled?

WakamaruObserve the kettle and think logically: The nose is open so steam pressure can't build up to create a sound. Also, the nose is so thin it can't have a whistle or other mechanism obstructing the flow because it will render the kettle useless. Top lid could have a whistle but picture demonstrates solid construction. And it wouldn't work anyway because of open nose.
