Hello all, Just to be very clear, what does "activated warranty card" mean? According to the Breitling website, the warranty card of a watch bought from an AD will have the " model name, reference, serial number, name of the retailer, activation date as well as the international warranty length". Therefore, a) Will this drop's activated warranty card have all of the above items filled in? b) If not, will an AD anywhere in the world accept repair under warranty? Thanks!

fragfeaster777If it’s like the one I bought it will come with a warranty card with everything filled in except the AD and date of purchase stamps. Whther or not Breitling will honor the manufacturer 2 year warranty is a gamble. I can tell you that after almost 2 years with mine, I haven’t had to get it serviced. It’s really flawless. Also with the discounted price, even if you have to pay for it to be repaired and serviced, you’re still coming out ahead.

xalsxThank you xalsx for the comprehensive reply. I totally agree with you, and my Navitimer has worked flawlessly too. Theres still that nagging feeling that if something did go wrong in the first 6 months or so, it could very well be something major ie unrelated to excessive wear and tear etc. And then the costs to fix could be silly high.

xalsxI have an oris that costs 1/6th of the price that has been flawless, I have a seiko padi turtle that is 1/18th of the price and it has been flawless. These watches should be QC'd enough to never need the warranty, BUT and this is a BIG BUT, if you're dropping 8 grand on a watch you will be completely stupid to forgo the warranty on it. getting these repaired aftermartket wont be cheap, should these be a rare dud and give +/- 8 second timing per day.
