Characterized by its reptilian look, the Brous Blades Hardwire Midtech Folder is slender and comfy in the hand. Textured G-10 scales in black and blue make up the handle, which is angled to the contours of the hand Read More
Man, this thing feels weird in the hand. Not bad, but weird. The size definitely takes some getting used to as I usually carry a much smaller knife. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Would still like to get my hands on a Griptilian or mini Grip to see how those feel.
Hey everyone -- We've had to reduce the number of units available to just 15 instead of the 65 we had originally secured.
The reason for this is that a number of people who placed pre-orders directly with Brous Blades have not yet received theirs, and we want to be respectful of both Jason's wishes and the people who have been his loyal customers and waited for theirs to arrive. We understand perhaps better than most how important it is to deliver to people who have already placed orders, especially pre-orders, before making an item available again to a different group of people.
Our philosophy is to act in all ways with a "community-first" attitude; we believe that 'community' is our members, but also the larger community of makers and enthusiasts. We appreciate the knife makers we work with and the many enthusiasts who have supported Jason and others over the years, as they (you) are the ones who make our Blades community possible.
To those who joined already, you scored big time! To those who missed it, we're sorry that our quantities ended up being more limited; we encourage you to consider purchasing one directly from Brous Blades, as we're not sure if or when there might be a large enough quantity available to offer here again.

I don't really know anything about designer blades like this. With such a... unique shape, if I order it, don't like it, and can't return it, is there any chance this could go up in value over time?

Mainly because I've been thinking about a Griptilian for a long time, but would be down to get a Brous that has a more standard-shaped blade than some of his other creations.
No one can predict the value of custom blades to go up or down But, being this is a numbered series and when they are gone that's it... chances of a true collector over paying is greater.... The "Value" in Brous Blades is not only the limited number of knives but the craftsmanship and materials used to produce them... You cant go wrong with one of Jasons knives
MorkvargSorry about that, you are correct and we've made the adjustment. Thanks for letting us know, certainly not intentional but apologies all the same.
If this knife was more modestly sized (like something I could reasonably carry) I would probably bite. I would almost certainly be in for a knife like the Razorback if one became available.
Hard to say, we ran it twice and I think we sold most of the remaining inventory; as you may know, each piece is limited so I'm not sure what's left after we deliver the last batch but I can ask. Really sweet EDC piece, hope you can find one.
