I resisted the Caliber, I can resist the Sinner, ha ha. That said, I definitely couldn't resist a small knife from Chris Reeve... Inkosi, small Sebenza 21, or Mnandi... I'd have no choice but to pull the trigger... Hint hint. Poll is up for anyone interested...
starterI'm with you! I also had to resist this. I was going to buy for the name alone. I figured out at the end I don't really like this design. Most of the other names you mention though... I'd go for it in a heartbeat.
You are right, D2 is difficult to sharpen, but once it is, it really holds an edge. I really, really like the looks of this knife. The spine is especially awesome! It is most definitely worth the price. BladeHQ is selling it for $469.00, so if you are thinking about it, you should jump on it.
So guys... Is this knife worth it? I just recently I bought the chaparral, native, paramilitary, and knockout drops and I was thinking of getting this for my collection, but in my experience D2 is a pain to sharpen and it doesnt resist corrosion very well.
I know it's a Brous and that should be enough, but I'm on the fence about this one. I carry all the knives in my collection and I want to know if its worth it for edc vs just being a collection piece.
Brous Blades = Beautiful designs
Blade is too thick for every day use. Will stick with something like the Spyderco Sage (or any full flat ground Spyderco)
