Inspired by the 1944 military-issue “Elapsed Time Watch,” the Bulova A-15 is a perfect blend of functionality and elegance. Though it may look like a chronograph, the watch’s two extra crowns serve very different purposes Read More
Nice design, underwhelming specs for the price. I'm passing, but happy that something at least pleasant to the eye finds its way back on MD. Had been a long time!
I just checked one of these out in person. Underwhelming, should be no larger than 40 also but just my opinion. It's modeled after a vintage watch that was a 32, so 38 would make it pretty much on target for the modern world, it would be smallish as watches go but a size most any man can wear and look good.
I had assumed that the crowns would all be screw down, I was wrong. The 2 crowns at 2 and 4 turn very easiliy, I would think they would move quite a bit, esp considering the size and the fact that when you bend your wrist, you may brush against the crowns...I wear a 7 1/2" and have a largish wrist and it definitely touched the crowns when I bent my wrist.
Nice that the new 82xx series movements hack, but it's still and 82xx series, and they are loud even with this solid caseback, although it's quieter than many I've had, but you can still feel that perpetually spinning rotor in your wrist when it's really humming.
I was always excited by this one but I guess I will resort to trying to find an Accuswiss version, at least then you can somewhat justify the expense given you're getting a Swiss movement of a much higher quality.
Not impressed overall, I would buy it in the 250 range, maybe.
Well it's great now that we can get Bulova watches at the same prices they are offered all over the internet (searching this model brings up this same price across the board!)
And we only have to wait a month to get ours if we order it on Drop! But that's the sacrifice you have to make to get that big 0% discount.
How special!
I love this watch. I saw it reviewed on one of the better watch websites a few months back. I would love to get it but the discount is just meh. JAone is correct, this thing should be more like $300 to be considered an actual drop
Sorta not really. It takes a long time to work out deals with brands, so if you're like "Hey, you should spotlight Apple, or Tesla.." .. yeah we'll get right on that.
We're happy to take ideas but we're actively working a very big list of companies that are tangentially-connected to our communities.
