We've contacted our vendor to clarify the situation. The sample unit that we had is part of the "older" models, before a recent slight redesign. All of the new units (the ones we got for fulfillment) are part of the newer batch, and they don't feature the tuning fork part.
We apologize for the fact that the product did not arrive as expected (or pictured), I hope you understand this was an oversight and not a deception on our part. We're very sorry for the misunderstanding and will be happy to give anyone who participated in this drop their money back if they wish to return the watch. Just contact support@massdrop.com and they'll arrange it for you.
