Hi, watch noob/troll here again. So why does Bulova not get much credit for what seems to be one of, if not, the most accurate movement? I read others claim its as accurate as Grand Seiko quartz yet no one cares. Fill me in on what I am missing.

JakobA. Its Bulova b. It's a soulless quartz, only super select wonks can work themselves up over a quartz. C. Use A, B as a reason to purchase at a under value , if you can read that dial on the quick.

JakobQuartz or otherwise, the issue here is more the ugly factor than the manufacturer. And ugly being very much in the eye of the beholder, you may disagree, and even buy one? There are plenty of Bulovas I'd consider should MD find a willing source or provider for them. Top of the list would be Bulova's reissue 70s automatic divers, and their quartz Lunar series watches--either group would be fine with me ;- )

RayFThere's plenty of watches I dislike but there are plenty I find attractive that get slammed here for being ugly. This one is certainly different which is hard to do in this industry without being criticized negatively. The watch industry seems extremely conservative in general. I had no interest in going for this particular Bulova, it's the Curv that I had my eyes on which has a similar movement. This watch is waaaaay too busy on the dial. I like the Curv.

JakobI seem to remember the Curv being discussed here a while back but don't recall if it was part of a Drop. I think the general consensus was everybody thought they were nice.

RayFYeah thanks to you guys I discovered Jomashop. Bought the Curv and Certina Ds diver. Now my wallet is much lighter.

JakobI'm a Certina fan--a very under appreciated brand if you ask me. Have you posted pics yet?

RayFNot yet, still waiting for them. Just started my collection. Thus far my choices have been a Seiko titanium sapphire quartz from here, Raymond Weil Freelancer diver in black, Luminox P38 auto chrono and finally my favorite yet Muhle SAR. Awaiting an Oris Artellier small seconds and the 2 mentioned from Joma. After this I am taking a long break. No way I can afford this. I felt that each of the above offered something different enough. I am not interested in having a dozen Rolex look alikes nor do I find dressier watches appealing but felt I should have one, the Oris is it. OH yeah, I have a Casi F30 smartwatch that is amazing for outdoors use and an all gold square metal g shock because it's kinda a classic in its own 80s loud obnoxious way.

JakobPersonally I love the brand & think they are terribly underared as a brand. I have several in my collection, but cancelled my order for this one as I dont see myself giving it much wrist time due to all the red in the band. Instead I will buy another Bulova model from Jomashop that I had been looking at.
