Product Description
From Bungubox, a specialty stationery store in Tokyo, Japan, these inks are inspired by the metro that runs through the capital city. Presented in 20-milliliter glass bottles, each of the nine inks is named for a different line on the subway map: Ginza (orange), Marunouchi (red), Hibiya (silver), Tozai (sky blue), Chiyoda (green), Yurakucho (gold), Hanzomon (purple), Namboku (emerald green), and Fukutoshin (brown) Read More

A nice set of ink colors with an interesting concept backup. Colors themselves resemble Iroshizuku, in that they are somewhat pale and understated, which might be a turnoff for some, however, the bright colors like Ginza and Marunouchi are really great and vibrant. They seem to be a bit more water resistant than Iros, seeing how one of the colors really clung onto stone paper and refused to smudge no matter what. Fluidity is moderate, they are drier than Iroshizuku, but wetter than Diamine, and will fit pretty much any Japanese or European fountain pen. Don't know about sheening, but shading on these is an absolute beast! Ginza goes from gemstone-like transparent orange all the way to deep, vivid orange, while Hibiya shows changes from metal gray to ashen gray. A wonderful ink for flex pens. My concerns are that not all the colors are as pleasant to use, and not as practical as the others, but, if you get at least 6 solid, master crafted limited edition inks out of 9, I say it's worth it. P.S. The bottles are boring though, it's the same rectangle gemstone shape that Sailor ships their ink in nowadays, not too dissimilar of Pilot Iroshizuku 15ml vials.

This ink set is an excellent variety of colors. The quality is expectedly as high as other Bungubox inks and I feel that this was a fair price compared to the rest of their line, especially considering it is a limited edition.

I know people would be flabbergasted at the price - $99 for 9 20ml bottles of ink! Anyway, I bit the bullet and got me this set since I won’t be able to buy it at this price from Japan. I think it’s a fair price for the variety and quality of the inks. The set is packaged and presented well. I got a chance to try these inks out in the 30 inks 30 days challenge on Instagram. They behaved well and dried relatively fast. And I look forward to using them more.
