Can anyone suggest a lightweight fly to go with the hammock? or are most people happy to use the one in the drop? I'm looking to see if the total weight of the system can be reduced. Don't want to go for dyneema for various reasons. Wondering if there is a lightweight silnylon one with enough difference in weight to make it worth getting over the one in the drop. Thanks

KananoWith trying to stay cheap and light (which normally doesn't work) I paired this hammock w/ hummingbird UL straps (i think they are 2.3 oz. total/ $30), a bear butt tarp (14oz/$25), and camp Nano22 caribiners (1.4oz for the pair/$10). This set-up on my scale is 37.1 oz. for everything. I've slept 20-30 nights in it, more than a few in the rain and woke up dry and toasty down to 40F (w/ top/under quilt. 2 X DIY costco down quilts $40/30 oz.). After add-ons and this hammock system is $100/67.1 oz. total and I have no regrets or complaints. Love this hammock! Thanks MD.
