Some hammocks can double as a bivy if there are no trees around...is this one of them? Lay it down with a ground cover slide sleeping bag and pad inside, cordage to stakes to keep it pulled taught, and tarp over the top as rain coverage?

NJMevecI wondered this too and bought it anyway last time it dropped. It's basically 2 flat rectangles, the Nylon bottom and the Mosquitto netting top sewed to each other. You can zip it open and slide inside it when on the ground and use it like a rectangle bivy (sandwich). With a bit of engineering and cordage plus trekking poles/sticks you can lift it off your face and create an A frame shelter.
I did a mock up A frame shelter in the living room using chairs as anchor points. Didn't take photos sorry!
