So, the weight rating for this says up to 250 lbs while the strap system itself is 440 lbs. Would using those straps increase the weight rating for the hammock at all? I'm seeing this drop https://www.massdrop.com/buy/ultimate-hammocks for the Ultimate Hammock Scout and Strap which says that "It can support up to 350 pounds when paired with the included straps". Kinda sounds like using the straps adds to the weight limit. Thoughts? Because I'd much rather purchase and use a hammock that can support 350 (< me + my gf) rather than a hammock which an only do 250 despite the straps holding up to 440.

ninjaNikki9@ninjaNikki9 The recommended weight is the lowest of either the strap or hammock. For the Traveller Lite Hammock bundle, 250 lbs is the recommended limit based on the hammock's capacity. As for the Ultimate Hammock Scout and Strap, the strap system weight capacity is lower than the hammock's, so the recommended weight limit is the strap system's 350 lbs.

ChristineLimDamn. Ok, thanks. I was hoping by some small miracle. Oh well, guess I'll buy the other hammock, combine the larger capacities of the straps & hammocks and sell off the others. Anyone interested in buying the Traveller Lite Hammock with 250lb capacity with the Ultimate Scout straps with 350lb per set capacity, send me a PM
