How to get it to loosen up. It’s nearly impossible to get it into position and then to collapse it after use.

I don't really understand the business model for this company. I ordered two flashlights and that order was cancelled for lack of interest. I ordered this stool which said it was expected to ship by 9/16. No updates and no real time customer support so i cannot learn the status of the order nor cancel it. Why would I be a customer at this point?
HippolyteHello. Sorry for the frustration on this drop. The shipments were delayed a little bit because of some technical issues with the shipping labels. But they did all ship out last week. I hope you have it now, or have received tracking information. If not, please email me directly with your name and I can track it down for you. danh@byerofmaine.com

Would be a good deal if not for the shipping; with the shipping it's only $2 less than amazon, and on amazon I know I'll get it in time for my camping trip...

KazozzaHaha, shipping to Germany would be $0.25 cheaper! 😜 ... I've to pass this, too...

I want one(2 actually) but shipping to Australia for 2 is ridiculous $48.50 for shipping just over 1kg (2.2lbs) and that's before the conversation to AUD

Hmmm I rather have a chair with some back support, I am still young at 28 but I would like to use my back for many more years to come :) I like the idea of a washing bassin built in.

Chris-NLI'm exactly twice your age, and COMPLETELY agree with you. Back support is, for me, the key to sitting comfort. And for that reason, when I backpack, my biggest luxury item is a Helinox Chair Zero. For the 16 ounces it adds to my pack weight, it gives me a place to sit like I've never had before. GREAT investment in comfort (you can get them on sale occasionally, but their still pricey).

Some experience advice: I owned the regular version of this stool and loved it, but a friend used it and I wasn't aware of its weight limits or her weight (and being a Her, it's not something I'd ask) but she snapped one of the seat support bars while sitting on it sewing. So my advice is, despite almost doubling of the item's weight (~1lb to ~2lb), it may be worth going with the XL instead of the regular just in case you have a solid friend who uses it, or you sit down on it with your camping backpack still on, someone stumblefalls on it while drunk at the campfire, etc. Once broken, game over. Glad this drop came about as I'm getting two. It's a great, compact stool you can toss in or tie on the side of your backpack. Would be nice if it had MOLLE straps on the side of the bag for backpack attaching, but I'm kinda nitpicking. Can maybe sew some on myself.
Send me an email and we'll work something out for you. danh@byerofmaine.com
