Similar to Chelsea boots, Jodhpur boots have equestrian roots. They were originally developed to pair with Jodhpur trousers when riding a horse Read More
Well, my order for a US size 7 pair arrived today. They managed to send me a US size 10. On top of that, I waited more than a month for them to arrive -only to not be able to wear them. As I am currently living outside the US now, the customs fee was a "nice" (although expected) addition to my already ruined day. Needless to say, I am beyond disappointed. Any options for a replacement? Anybody had a similar experience?
are the boots shown in pic #8 out of 13 with the blue jeans the same as the ones in the last pic, the sand colorway? the lighting makes a huge difference in the color
Classic jodhpurs are really rare nowadays and they look fantastic in my opinion. I have been hunting for a nice pair for quite a while now as I love the style of these boots. Out of the high quality ones maybe the only other alternative to my knowledge (not counting bespoke shoemakers of course) are the YSL ones, which although look great and undeniably well crafted, their high price -which is more due to brand cachet than actual bespoke-level quality in my humble opinion- is something I cannot justify.
These boots come at a great price, especially when we take into consideration the build quality. If you are looking for a unique pair of boots, something different, that can really elevate a casual or smarter outfit, give this one a try. For this quality at this price, it is really tough to beat.
Cheers,
BkeyYea, I had been entertaining the idea for a long time, especially after seeing a pair in the flesh and trying one on at a YSL boutique. You are absolutely right in that they really are built well and the look is truly something special, but ultimately I decided to skip on them because of the price. I figured if I was going to spend that much on a pair, I would have more personalised and high-end options at a bespoke shoemaker for a not much higher price premium. However, that also would be a purchase I am just not ready to make yet. This is where these Caballero boots saved me, haha. The build quality (especially the blake stitch being a nice middle ground between cementing and goodyear welt) and the looks are all there. I also like that they did not copy the recognizable YSL-style strap placement but kinda reversed it with the straps crossing on the front, adding their own take on the jodhpur style.
Cheers,
