The E100SX Supercardioid Condenser Microphone is a fourth-generation take on this historic mic with a body built for modern use. Featuring a large condenser diaphragm that’s capable of bringing a remarkably full response on the lower end of the spectrum and a solid sensitivity level to secure detail and nuance, the ES100SX is great for vocals or delicate in-studio instrumental tracks. CAD Audio has also equipped this fourth-generation installment with a 100-hertz high-pass filter for some bass rolloff, a 10-decibel pad for versatility with higher-output sources, and a built-in, low-profile shock mount making it easy to angle and position in the studio.
