What cable do you need to use this microphone? Can you use it with either AUX or USB?

IkothYou'll also need a phantom power supply as well as some kind of audio interface if you're going to plug into a computer.

So I use the GXL 3000 currently, would this be an upgrade?

GreenTeaZThat'd be more of a side-grade or even a down-grade since you lose the polar patterns.
You wouldn't get a difference.

This is a good price for the BP version. The CAD GXL2200 is a decent mic out of the box, and great mic for DIY tweakers. With some upgrades it can be a really amazing mic. There is a good community of modders for this lil sucker :) I havent felt the need to upgrade the internals yet, since Im only using this for streaming. But I have painted my silver version to match my office motif a little better :D

eneroReal nice review, thanks for sharing. Mind if I ask what speakers you're using? :)

buddypalfriendoHey thanks! I just really appreciate this mic for what it is and is a great buy with a great community backing it. Thought people should know :) As for the speakers, they are the Edifier R980T. Just got them recently, they sound decent for powered speakers. Had a nice set of Miccas but got sick of all the cables, amp and dac on my desk. Got them coz they're a nice size and were dirt cheap! Dont really listen to anything other than youtube videos through them, so they'll do. I moved all that other stuff out to the living room.
