I got back home last night, decided to plug the microphone back in see if anything would change. Feeling like the definition of insanity didn't seem to stop my curiosity after reading all the posts where the microphone functioned as advertised. It, somehow, for some reason known only to the galactic audio gods it worked. I tried recording some clips with audacity and the sound is very good, no statics, it no longer is way too quiet.
i have no idea what changed, maybe the windows update fixed it? i have no clue but that is the only thing that has changed since the night before.
oatmealdinosaurYou've got me curious, and I think when I get a chance this weekend I want to try the mic with a cable different from the one included with the drop. I noticed when I opened it that the USB cable seemed to be subpar in quality when compared to the rest of the product. Perhaps it's part of the issue.
I'm thinking this because I also have had various degrees of success with random adjustments. So glad to hear yours has worked itself out of its issues though!
RykerYou said you mic is working normal, correct? Is it possible that you could post / send me a sound clip of what the audio is supposed to sound like?
SymmetryhdThe issue I'm encountering right now is a low audio level. No static, but when compared with my other, more entry-level CAD (u37) mic, it's extremely quiet. Using Audacity, I have to drop gain for the u37, but max it out to get a decent recording with the GXL2600USB.
That said, I'm out of town until later today. When I get back, I'll do a recording with it for you, no problem!
