Why a three yard cut, though? It's not a backing- it's a panel. It has a huge blank line running down the middle that separates the numbers from the letters.
That said, do you get three linear yards, or three 44x108" panels?

mynameislaurakHi @mynameislaurak,
This fabric contains a panel that is a 24" wide repeat. If you join this drop, you will get three linear yards that measures approximately 44" by 108" and you will get at least four panels. This text print can be used in a number of ways from sashing to fussy cutting and using it as a backing is just one suggestion.
Hope this helps!
