So I got on these last time they dropped. The bowls are nice and I don't mind the hand wash but the biggest reason I wanted these was because they had lids. I have to say that i'm pretty disappointed how the lids fit. Really, only the second largest bowl fits well, the two smaller bowls fit so loosely that they are pretty much useless and the largest bowl lid is so big it doesn't fit at all.
If you are buying these for the bowls then great, nice set of bowls for the price. If you want these bowls like I did for picnics, family gatherings and potlucks, don't count on using the lids.

I would buy these, but shipping to Canada doubles the cost of the bowls. I've said no to many things on Massdrop solely because shipping is too expensive. Another no, sadly.

As a person who cooks 5-6 days per week, this seems terrible. I have simple, workhorse mixing bowls that I can abuse and throw in the dishwasher. IMHO, this is like those overpriced kitchen towels in a recent drop. I understand wanting pretty things in your kitchen, what with all the subliminal messages in all the food porn we watch. At the end of the day, I go for non-nonsense gear when it comes to the kitchen.

Old-timey name, made to look like hand-hammered tinned copper. Actually made in a gigantic factory in China and the "copper" is just plating. Everything about this is just ick.
sockpuppyHi, these are made from non-corrosive stainless steel in India. They are hammered by hand by master craftsmen and plated with genuine copper using traditional water plating techniques. -- Eric from Cambridge

Is it my imagination or is nearly $10 in domestic shipping for a $27 item a bit out of whack? I understand that the added copper will increase overall weight but, come on. . . .
