Is is just me, or do these have almost zero bass coming through them? My highs are pretty crystal clear, but I have a feeling one of my drivers isn't running for the deep sounds and its just kinda muted. I'm hoping someone else can help me clear this up.
The only reference I have to compare them to are apple earbuds, and grado RS2's. Currently my grado's severely outperform these, and some songs the apple craps sound better on because there is a bass presence, instead of a lack of one. (though not by much as the highs do really shine) I've been using Tidal to stream lossless EDM for the notes for my phone comparison.
I stuck them into my grado amp connected to my PC for a better connection and better sources, and the muted bass was still completly present.

AceofSpikesMine have plenty of bass, it's not as much as the Beats earbuds I have, but it is present and very clear compared to the Beats which just sort of beat you over the head with bass.

AceofSpikesiPhone 6 Plus using the headphone jack with TuneShell playing lossless flac/wave files with EQ set to off. Even lossy files sounded great as long as they were a high bitrate/cbr.

AceofSpikesI felt similarly--very little bass compared to my Westone UM Pro 10s. But then again, I got two R side Novas, so that became my #1 complaint.

popthropologistI've noticed a new thing that helps a bit. Its my first pair of decently priced iems. The bud really needs to be jammed up your ear to sound its best. Kind of different than how my open back headphones work. When it is really jammed up my ear, the bass is clear, defined, but missing depth, like they have a 35hz high pass filter or something.

I have now purchased a Audio Quest DragonFly Red, and everything has changed. These are prestigious, but I've found they are extremely source dependent. My Numark djIo PC DAC does not output a good enough source for these to shine with, nor does the phones innate sound card.

AceofSpikesI haven't listen to these specifically, but generally IEM's requires that there's a very good seal between the tip and the ear canal for them to play well. This should be expected to be true for these as well. In other words, make sure they are seated well into the ear canal, and so that there's no air leaking in or out of the ear. This should greatly enhance the bass. Apparently this model has two full range armatures and no crossover, so you should be able to hear bass regardless. In fact they've been designed specifically to enhance the bass over the earlier Orion model. As I don't have any Campfire Audios take this as a general advice for IEMs.

j-techThis is very true. Bose Soundtrue ultra does this very well. Their tips make it impossible for any air to leak. Bass is great on them. When I first plugged these in, I was rather shocked, questioning why I payed so much money for these without knowing this.
When you do wear these correctly, it's a WORLD of difference. These sound really really really good and the bass is just good for me.
