Solid lens for this price point near $300. F1.4 plenty big enough for my use of toddler photos. Produces sharp photos with spectacular bokeh. I like the small form factor too when out and about. Don't want to lug around a huge lens sometimes when you are chasing around your kids.

This lens has helped me take my photography to another level. I've been getting more into prime lenses and this one has climbed to the top of my list. The focus gets soft, but not too soft, and makes portraits look amazing.
It's ok at macro. It can't get as close as my 1.8, but it'll work if I don't have another lens with me.
Landscapes look amazing, too. This lens with a ND filter takes great landscapes.
