scotchguySame here, my tracking number came directly from UPS. If you set up UPS My Choice, you might find that yours is already in transit.

jgilesI set up a My Choice, but nothing there either. Hopefully it will be updated soon. I was hoping to have the camera for my brother's wedding...
I'm frustrated with Massdrop... as with others, this will probably be my last purchase from them. The price savings is not all that outstanding when I could have got this same combo for $75 less as a refurb from Canon with free 2-day shipping included.
On the bright side, I've had lots of time to watch YouTube videos teaching me how to use a SLR for the first time...
With any luck, we'll get an actual update from Massdrop soon

scotchguyI'm sorry the community will be losing you, but I think I can understand. My sister's wedding is coming up in the next few weeks, but I'm not considered the photog of the family, and she's going with a pro anyway.
As for the refurb, I'd kind of like to have my first DSLR be a new one, but I'll probably get a refurb 6d at some point.
Either way, I don't know if or when UPS will realize that your account is connected with your shipment, but it seems safe to say that if you ordered the lens with the camera, it's on its way.
I hope you enjoy your camera, and have fun at the wedding.

scotchguyI just looked at the Canon website t5i's are going for $649. It's a t5 (picture only) that's going for $399. What website did you find the deal on?

jgilesThanks for the input. They have a photographer, but I figure the reception would be a great time to play with the camera in a real-life scenario. Of course, after all the Best Man duties are handled would I get that chance...
Yes, I ordered the lens with the camera... not too much value in a body only (so I'm told), and my local camera friends advised me to start with the kit. The 'Nifty Fifty' was also on refurb for $80 with the release of the new version (50mm 1.8/f STM). It would have been nice to get that as well nearly the same price as the drop.
As for Canon's website, it was a Memorial Day only deal, just like when the drop went down around Mother's Day. Even with the delays and bad communication, Massdrop refused to let me back out...
All that said, this price is still the lowest for a band new T5i... refurb is nothing to be afraid of as it goes through a much more rigid inspection than a new Canon camera/lens would right off the line. They also receive a 1 Year warranty, so certainly worth the savings. Local camera shops offer 3-year warranties for the gear a very reasonable rates to boot!
All and all, I wouldn't be so frustrated if there was better communication from Massdrop. If a member already received theirs, then we should probably have at least a tracking number for everyone else... or at least a status update.

scotchguyBe careful with the refurbs. I bought a Nikon refurb once. Worked for less than a month.
