Please MD, you are capable to produce more sets for us consumers. You will not lose any cents. Please make it more. We have 4 more days

akadalkaffKeycap designers have plans also, they just don't want to run the same successful sets all the time. They have an artistic vision and want to express it in the form of new designs. The demand can be high, but the manufacturer and owner of the molds have a schedule they conform to. There are tons of keycaps groupbuys coming about at the same time, designers have to plan an organize their launch accordingly. It is not as simple as, I want to release more in 2 weeks. It is a big case of I want it, have the money, but they won't release it, and that makes me sad.  The thought process and logistics is more complicated than, "I see that people want XXXX, a keycap set I designed and had manufactured 8 months ago, I will just ask for some more to be made."

erickongThis is just keycaps dude. Not some limited edition yeezy or supreme bag, which cost thousands. The process of doing new keycaps set is complicated, now that GMK has the mold and color, and MD is doing a re-run, I can't see the reason not to produce more. That's my 2 cents.

akadalkaffI don't want this discussion to get out of hand. But I want to continue it. The statement, "this is just keycaps dude" can apply anywhere. I can say that about the new off-whites. They are just shoes dude. Sought after shoes and apparel typically releases for a decent price, but then the second hand market places value on it due to aesthetics and rarity. Shoes that launch on the Nike SNKRS app start at $200 but then turn into $1000 shoes. I do not think keycaps follow the same market because the secondhand market is not increasing the resale price to an exponential level. I think people just keep the keycaps because they like them, and occasionally part with them due to personal finance/etc.

erickongI'm just frustrated. For me, the thing about keyboard GB is the waiting time and some risks involved. Some turned out well, some were bad. People like me, will buy once the set is applied on a keyboard. GMK laser, serika etc were proven to be one of the best looking keycap set. MD is a big company, and they deliver. So MD is my only platform to buy genuine keyboard accessories. I'm just disappointed that I can't get my hands on the sets that I've been craving for. What's the point of the button "Request" if there is no hope of getting it. But I totally understand your point of view.

akadalkaffI think ePBT caps available through KBDfans are pretty high quality. Novelkeys runs groupbuys for keycaps too. There are also doubleshot ABS JTK sets. Konostore has also had some sets go through their website. I have purchased from Novelkeys before and Mike is a straight shooter. He had to deal with the BOX switch fiasco and I think he handled it well. The sites I listed might not have what you want, but there are other options out there. Like you said, you don't want to get burned by a keycap groupbuy investment and you tread lightly around other sites.

erickongI'm familiar with all the websites you mentioned. Bought few things from KBDfans and novelkeys. Konostore is haywire. Just that the keycaps that I've wanted are not available on those sites. Planning to buy GMK metropolis from zFrontier tho. Hope it turns out well.
