Hey everyone, Welcome to the second Keycap Re-Cap for 2019 - This re-cap will be launching on Thursday, August 22 at 6 am PT. This time we'll start with 3 keycap kits per user. At noon, we will open it up to more quantities and will continue to increase the number of purchasable kits on the following days if there is a demand for it. This rollout is intended to give everyone a chance to grab something they’d like and not have everything disappear right away. There will be no restocking of additional kits for this Re-Cap. If you do not want to be double charged for shipping, please make sure to add more kits to your order instead of placing another order. Everything listed below will be available for purchase starting at 6 am Thursday. YanboWuIs this going to be handled any better than the hot mess that was the last re-cap, where your site wouldn't even load for most people until the most popular kits were sold out, and having a cart with a mix of sold-out and in-stock sets would mean you couldn't check out, so that the in-stock sets would be sold out by the time you removed the out-of-stock items and tried again?

eponymousUnfortunately the nature of this product offering makes it a bit difficult to improve the checkout process without significantly changing how these are done. What we have done is prune the sets available so that hopefully you are not scrolling through as big of a list. However, this will not stop items that were sold out from affecting your overall order. Best suggestion would be to pick one or two things you really want to get, get that added to your cart first and edit your orders from there. There is more demand than there are available units for some of the kits, which is why it's a bit of a madhouse once the page opens for orders.

YanboWuI am REALLY hoping for the SA Pulse Numpad kit but I'm doubting it'll be here based on your highlited note. Somehow the Numpad kit from the recent SA Laser kit was removed from my order... But the other 6 pieces remained. The Pulse won't really match but at least it'll be same profile.

YanboWuAre you planning better than you did last time, is what I'm asking? Because clearly whatever you did then wasn't good enough, as the most popular kits sold out by the time the checkout page would even load for most people (IIRC, for me personally it was 10 minutes before I could get it to load at all, let alone consistently).

AiDevBase kit prices vary because their composition and order counts vary. Eclipse, Jamon, and Oblivion all ended at $120 or less. The latest round of Carbon saw a higher base kit price because it had more keys in addition to including R0 and R5. Re-cap prices have an approximate mark-up of 19% relative to their group buy price. EDIT: @omarfeed Sorry if you feel that we are being obtuse. The pricing structure has not changed since the last Re-cap.

markoo$59 is the base price for everything, if something is listed as +$60 then the price is $59+60=$119. If something is listed as -$49 then the price is $59-$49=$10.

markooThe $59 is the base price. Each kit costs $59 adjusted by the amount you see in parenthesis. So your thing is $59 + $60 = $119. Then taxes and shipping are added.
