These are great pens. I have three of them. One of them had a problem with the nib out of the box. I send it back to them (in Switzerland) and they fixed it and shipped it back free of charge. Love the pen. The nib is not flexible, but a great writer. You can definitely feel the quality of this pen. I have one new version and an older version with the plastic grip section. For some odd reason the metal grip section of these is not slipperly, like other pens I have with have a metal section. Overall, very very nice pen. Not for long sessions though, because its pretty heavy.

it-manThe description says it's silver plated. Silver is inherently a bit grippy, while gold is more slippery. Mouthpieces for brass instruments are available as gold or silver plated due to these properties, to provide grip or slip according to individual player preference.

Bob_the_WinoThat explains it!!! I have been wondering for a while why some of my metal grip pens are grippy and other slippery. Really appreciate the feedback.
