After my $51.00 experience with their Cinchy and CTi Belt (it was virtually useless and never should have been placed on the market), I can't recommend any of this company's products.
We've produced a lot of those belts, and usually the feedback is quite good. If something was defective, or the belt just isn't a good fit for you, please send us an email at support@sargentresearch.com, and let us know what we can do to make it right.
how can you say that and then not provide any reason as to why it is virtually useless?!
is it because you can't quickly remove/insert through belt loops without taking it apart? i really love the design but that is what is holding me back form purchasing this and other belts like these.
My apologies. I had placed feedback about the Cinchy and CTI Belt on the discussion thread for that particular drop and didn't think to re-post it here. The belt's width did make it very difficult (and sometimes impossible) to get it through belt loops of the kinds of pants that I own, but the major drawback was the design of the buckle itself. The design and the stiffness of the canvas material made the buckle protrude at about a 30-40 degree angle from your waist. This resulted in a protrusion that was both unsightly and caught on things, and also made a backpack belt really uncomfortable. In terms of this drop, buckle design is probably not be a factor, but I will say that if it is the same canvas material, it is very much on the stiff side and certainly a touch on the wide side.
Hello, Mike ..
Thanks for the response. It is appreciated.
My feedback for the problems I had with your Cinchy and CTi Belt was left on the discussion thread there, but there was never any response that I noticed, other than a couple of people agreeing with me. If there had been a return policy with Massdrop, I most certainly would have returned it. Given that, I was so disappointed with the belt, especially given its price, that I placed it in a box of donation clothes just so it wouldn't remind me of the experience.
I had the same experience with this one. The buckle is too big to fit through Levi's, so you have to remove the buckle completely to thread the belt. It also comes loose in an hour or too. This product is completely unsuitable for holding pants up.
