Get that perfect fit
I wanted something that blended in (buckle), and I was sceptical about the magnet. This is now my favourite belt.

Love this belt
Ive been using it now for a few months and have loved how well it holds up. I use it at work for clipping my tool pouch and it does well. In normal day to day, its also great and comfortable. The only negative thing I can really say is if something hits the dial enough times, it will get loose and fall off. its happened to me a total of 3 times but I have now become used to avoiding that (only happens at work). Will probably be buying another :)

Well Built and Reliable
Very well built belt; materials feel top notch and assembly is rock solid. Also surprisingly comfortable given how it looks. You do have to remove the rotor end of the buckle if you need to thread a holster through, so that takes a little time when getting ready, but overall definitely worth a look in my book.

Case of emergency, disassembly is difficult
The person not to know usage cannot remove.
monnchioEMT’s, Search and Rescue etc commonly carry scissors which can cut the webbing easily. More likely they’ll cut your pants away too if needed. But you’re right, it may not be obvious to regular folks. Thank you for the feedback :)

monnchioYou are rating a belt low JUST because of a hypothetical premise? Trust me, first responders are adept at removing clothes and anyone with an IQ higher than the belt would figure out pretty quickly the screw head (which looks like a screw head) would not just be a design detail. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you are really stretching here.

I Want to Buy Another!
The belt and buckle are rugged, excellent quality. I have been wearing this belt for a few weeks and it shows no signs of wear. The buckle can be a bit tricky at first, but you'll adapt quickly. Once the belt clciks in place, it is not coming off until you want to take it off. When Drop offers them again, I will buy another and probably a few for gifts. I'd like to see a narrow belt option...but that probably won't happen. Love it!

blckb3ardThat did not take long, lol! Gratz, I hope you love it! I ordered the black again, but trying Biothane this time. I hope you love it. Mine is still looking new, no chips in the coating. I could not be more impressed.

Great belt
The magnetic belt buckle is an easy and effective mechanism that securely keeps the belt at a desirable tightness.

DaveQYeah, when you hear the click, you know the buckle is locked in...for some reason, it's very satisfying sound!

Nice magnetic belt!
I have been looking for a magnetic belt for a while and I found this one. I like the rotor mechanism, as it allows you to accurately adjust your belt and holds together without issue. It also has a neat aesthetic to it and it keeps my pants up well. Bought the biothane version, it looks like a leather belt, which is nice.

Not what I was expecting, and in a bad way.
Before we get into the negatives, let me preface: I like Carbon Tactics and have been very satisfied with their Cobrastrap belts in the past. With that out of the way, let's talk about how this new iteration is worse. Firstly, calling it a 'magnetic rotor' belt is a joke. The 'rotor' is a very wide and thin screw that you loosen and tighten, which basically just smashes a wide nut into the flat belt material, locking it in place. While this is less intuitive to adjust than all their other belts I've used, fear not, because it's also harder even when you learn to do it properly. Honestly, you'll have better luck comparing belt holes to the belt you use and screwing it down while you aren't wearing it. It's next to impossible to get a proper fit adjusted while wearing it, which is a big shame, especially given the quality I'd come to expect from them.

The materials are the same though, so they haven't cheaped out on the actual belt; just the mechanisms. So now that we've got the 'rotor' (*cough* 2mm thin screw *cough*) out of the way, let's focus on the magnet. This also is insanely unintuitive and requires several practice tries to really get the hang of it. I think I can say that it's without a doubt, way easier to put on than take off, and also the most difficult belt to consistently remove that I've ever used. The marketing on Drop didn't do it any favors, to be perfectly honest. If you're expecting an actual adjusting 'rotor' system, then I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place, as I can't, in good conscience, recommend this belt in it's current state to anyone. Maybe this'll change in the future, but as of now, get literally any other belt they make. This belt is a cool concept, but to put it plainly, it feels a little unfinished. That being said, let me repeat- They are not a bad company, and their belts are much better than most of the competition, especially at their price points compared to quality. Get any of their other belts that have a quick-release system instead and you'll be much happier. They're much more user-friendly and so hard to go wrong with. (Below is my old Cobrastrap (above) and the Cipher (below))

P.S. - Here's the actual marketing (which was included with the belt) that should've been on this post initially.

P.P.S - Kinda funny that you can actually unscrew it too much by accident, and then destroy the belt by crossthreading. Any questions or image requests, just let me know and I'll do my best to answer or show an image of what you're curious about.

IrrelevantI could not disagree with you more...the rotor is perfect as you can adjust the belt at any time, even if you are wearing it. It locks the webbing securely without fail every time. The belt buckle is without variable, it is not made of flexible material. So, if you can't take it off after a few initial practice tries, it's not the belt's fault...it's yours. Also, why would you need to remove the screw as the belt can be adjusted with a few turns to loosen the grip. Only a person with 5 thumbs on their hand would ever cross thread it, even if they felt the need to remove it in the first place. Honestly, I think you are just pissing on it or you just can't figure it out.
