Product Description
“If you don’t have the tool, make the tool” is the Carbon Tactics motto. The Epoch, the company’s latest in a long line of tactical belts, is designed from the ground up for strength in the field or at a nice dinner Read More
K3WPThe buckles are made from anodized aluminum and steel, but it's possible nickel is present in the alloys and/or anodized coating. For a nickel free buckle, our Titanium Ti Hook belt might be worth checking out as it uses a "commercially pure grade 2" titanium buckle. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@CarbonTactics, what is the equivalent of a Size C (34-37)? I got a size C of your double-layer belt but I see that this version has a different sizing chart.
The product looks cool and I am sure it operates well, but why and when do you need to shed your belt quickly? All I can think of is when you need to slash your son urgently before he runs away..
BlkicyIt's just convenience, saves you a few seconds a few times a day, and removes the necessity of re-adjusting your belt every time you wear it. Lots of people tell me they only adjust this belt every few weeks. I'm sure there are many specific reasons why it's useful to various people, child discipline and such (just kidding). Obviously not necessary for everyone though :)
My purchase receipt dated Feb 19, one month ago, stated that we could expect shipment by March 17, two days ago. I haven't any information regarding shipment or delays. Has anyone else who purchased from that drop heard anything? I understand these are strange and difficult times but I have heard from other companies I deal with regarding their particular situation and the actions they are taking... good customer communication. Nothing from Drop.
Contacted Carbon Tactics directly. They said they encountered an unexpectedly long delay in getting paid by Drop but finally did. They are to begin shipping this week. This is my first and last time buying anything through Drop. Might look at what they have found but small saving is not worth practically non existent cancellation or return policy, long wait for delivery and poor customer communication. Lesson Learned...Best to go directly to the source
OK-got mine, it is pretty good, but my old fingers (78 years) have difficulty operating the relase. Got to run field evaluations for a while before comment as to worthiness vs dollars
ccbbI highly recommend the double-layer strap version for your setup. It is substantially more rigid than the single-layer option offered on this drop. You can find it on the Carbon Tactics site, but it also drops here sometimes, if you prefer to wait for the best deal.
