This is the second time I’ve tried to
participate in this drop. This is the second time I have gotten an email saying that fulfillment will be delayed. The fist time this happened, I did not get my drop.
So, Drop.com, Carbon Tactics, what is going on here?
In photos I notice the double webbing doesn’t extend to the buckle, which makes sense given each size range is for a variety of waists. However if I measure 39 through my belt loops, should I get size d (38-41) or size e (42-46) if I want the double webbing to come as close other belt buckle as possible?
CokeCaneGunArmy published new uniform regs a few days ago. Somewhere in those 369 pages there may or may not be an official answer, but you probably need to ask around to get a sure answer. Sorry I don’t know at the moment.
Belt received today (NJ).
It is a high quality and well thought out belt.
My only concern would be accidental release due to the single button- time will tell whether or not this is actually an issue.
The dual layer belt holds weight well even when not using pant loops.
Adjustment is a pain, but I understand why it is what it is. It would be nice to have a micro-adjust though.
hubert_cumberdaleAny updates? It sure looks like it would pop open if you bent over wrong and a fold of your pants pressed on it. How stiff's that latch?
How's it compare to Austri-Alpine's Cobra buckles, since that's the obvious other choice, here?
DermottThe Carbon Tactics belt has held up well with no incidents of unintentional buckle release.
Adding/removing items is still a pain as you have to remove the buckle.
It would be nice if either:
the male end of the buckle could be removed for adding/removing items onto the belt without messing up the sizing
having a visual scale on the back of the belt so you can reinstall consistently without trial and error.
I have no experience with the Austri-Alpine buckles.
The Carbon Tactics Epoch Double-Layer Belt
The Carbon Tactics Epoch Quick-Release Belt
what is the difference between them ?
all of them have the quick release feature .
EvetsExcellent question. The estimated ship date is May 22. That includes time for us to manufacture the belts, ship them to Drop, and have Drop then ship them to you. We've basically added 1 week to all of our estimated delivery times. If anything happens to create a delay, I'll personally try to communicate that here. Besides that, all we can do is our best. As a wise Yoda once said, "Impossible to see, the future is."
