I'm sorry. I don't have $45 that I'd like to fritter away. For half of that, I bought 3 of these Kershaw minis, one for each car's keyfob in the family. They sharpen in no time on a crock stick. If I had money to burn, I'd get one, but if I had money to burn, I'd be busy burning money instead of looking for good deals on Drop.

As to the first part of your comment, I was merely poking a little harmless fun at his chosen user name. As to the second part, while we both understand what he was attempting to do, can you not see how he inadvertently ended up doing just the opposite?

Major_InfidelAs to the first part of your question, I assumed he was Chinese and was using his real name—so didn’t catch your pun. As to the second part of your question, I’ll have to get back to you.

Recently read a story in People Magazine (online version) describing how a Kansas woman had "decapitated" her ex-boyfirend's mother with (multiple?) steak knives as they fought over a painting. https://people.com/crime/kansas-woman-decapitated-ex-boyfriends-mom-with-steak-knives-in-fight-over-a-painting/ Ghastly story when you think about it, but it occurs to me, if Kansas would have outlawed and confiscated steak knives and replaced them all with Carbon Tactics Ti slice aluminum EDC keychain tools, that poor woman might be alive today. Just thought I'd point that out in hopes of boosting sales among those who, from time to time, occasionally have issues with their in-laws.

I saw this drop recently and, rather than joining, ended up purchasing the actual titanium version of this direct from Carbon Tactics instead. In short, it’s hella strong, lightweight and the machining is first rate. Blade changes are dead simple and the purchasing process with Carbon Tactics was a joy. I ran into only one issue, but it was not an insignificant one. My use case was to run the Ti Slice on a Keyback retractable lanyard with a variety of other keys - the lot of them tucked away in my front pants pocket. The design of the Ti Slice is such that the blade deployment button sits up fairly high, doesn’t require a tremendous amount of force to actuate, and is nicely chamfered. All of this combines to make the opening and closing of the blade smooth, easy and comfortable. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that, when closed in the pocket, crawling around heavy machinery and the like can exert just enough sideward pressure on the button to lead to a partial deployment of the blade. In my case, it was only a millimeter or two that was protruding. But later, when reaching into my pocket for my earplug pouch, I ended up with a nasty slice across the pad of my middle finger. The button was more or less still in the closed detent, but had moved downward and diagonally a bit. I doubt this would be an issue for most folks, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a slight redesign that made it harder to to move the blade out of this closed position. As a partial remedy, you will find that the button is integral to the carriage that holds the blade. By sliding this out as you would do for a blade change, you’ll find that you can very gently bend the button outward. This will slightly increase the force required to actuate the blade. For those who do operate in an active, dynamic work environment, you may want to consider a similar piece from Big Idea Design. Price wise it was pretty much a wash between the two at the time I made my purchases. Some of the advantages of this one are that it’s slimmer, lighter, includes a small pry bar/hex driver cut out and has the blade deployment slider on the spine of the tool that’s much harder to accidentally actuate. It also has a very sturdy, well designed pocket clip that expand your carry options. On the down side compared to the Ti Slice, there’s less for you to hold onto and blade changes aren’t as effortless. No tools are required for the blade change, but it does involve torquing the case open slightly which requires some practice to get used to. https://bigidesign.com/collections/pocket-tools/products/titanium-pocket-tool-slide

I backed and am excited to try it out, my only complaint is that there is not option for a pocket clip. Is it possible that this will be added or available in the future?
