Why dont you ship to Russia? Is it really that hard? You were able to ship vortex pbt keycaps, why not ship other sets?
I have just asked the same question to Massdrop support. They said it is due to "logistical difficulties... Issues with lost or missing packages to Russia have me it difficult ... to provide great customer support to the customers affected by the shipping problems". Quite reasonable.
So, "...to provide great customer support to the customers affected by the shipping problems" we will stop servicing them at all.
Extremely friendly position.
But nobody cares, as usual.
I have talked to MD about that issue already. The thing is that the russian postal service is quite bad. In a lot of cases the packeges are going to be damaged or even lost. So it's undertsandable why MD want ship to russia. I've talked also to people from russia and they said me that this is true. However there is another way how to buy stuff from MD in russia. AFAIK there is a private postal service called "Бандеролька" or something like that. They do ship stuff world wide to russia. Yes this going to cost more but its the only option right now.
I have about 50 completed orders from AliExpress, and no package was ever damaged or lost. I even got an ukulele delivered to me (and it wasn't even wrapped good, just a squishy box). Maybe it's because I'm lucky, or russian post is working better in major cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg, but I don't think there is a reason to cut down the shipment entirely. Also, that middleman shipment services is usually too much of a hustle, kills all the price advantage of Massdrop and they are shipping you the goods by the same russian post anyway.
Hey i am not living in russia, i tell only that i have heard from other people who are living in russia. Its actually not a secret that those big cities like Moscow or Saint Petersburg are more previleged than other regions.
