Hoping someone at drop can respond to me. Had quite a few keycaps missing from my set. Unfortunately I didn't go through each kit when I received and after noticing a few missing I reviewed them all. Haven't been contact by support staff yet. Out of 17 kits, 3 had missing keycaps:
Numpad Kit: 1u Esc – orange, 1u Fn, 1u Division Sign, 1u Multiplication sign, 1u – R1, 2u + Sign
Warning Signs: Carbon ‘Wi-Fi Signal’ Warning Sign, Beige Warning Signs – entire set
Dual Modifiers: 2u 'Backspace' key, 1.75u Caps Lock (non-stepped), 1.75 Shift, 2.25u Shift, 1.25u Alt, 1.25u Ctrl
swyte@MikeMD Hi Mike, trying to find out when my issue will be addressed. Have submitted multiple tickets but have been told it may take months to address. The item is clearly in stock, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on the kits at original group buy, now they are on discount and my issue is still not being addressed. When will I receive my missing keycaps? Before or after you've sold your remaining kits? Gotta be honest this is the type of customer support and QC I'm used to seeing from Drop, takes me back to my 'awesome' experience buying Drop Holy Pandas /s...why @T0mb3ry continues to allow Drop exclusive sales rights on Carbon is beyond me unless he is stuck in an awful contract with your company.
swyteHi swyte, I'm sorry to see that you're missing keycaps and have had a negative experience with support. I looked into this, and I see that the support team was in contact after you made the initial post here. The replacement process (individual keycaps from the vendor) is in motion, and can take about 4 weeks to complete. If you haven't heard anything by Sept 9th or so, ping me here and I will take another look at it internally.
A shame this run doesn’t come with the “Beezarre” orange alphas. Would love to buy all the kits, but without the orange alphas its just another majority grey set with a couple highlights (in my eyes, at least), which I don’t find particularly interesting. Glad others are still enjoying it, though.
I would consider this if there were a colevrak kit. I need coverage for the Workman layout, which is usually achieved between qwerty/dvorak/colemak keys. Or if it were a uniform profile like DSA instead I would just need a homing kit.
SoundtoxinMaybe this isn’t an option for you, but maybe consider just leaving the keys in a qwerty layout but type whatever layout you like. This is what I do and it saves money on not needing an extra kit, plus it increases compatibility to keysets that don’t support other layouts.
RoboticMikeLooks like there is a slight delay in the processing. :-/ We do have stock of all kits on hand, it is just not transferring over to the order system and showing in stock here. This should go through tonight or tomorrow. Sorry for the mixup.
