Great shoes. Poor management
A bit of hassle and long wait times with the delivery. Ended up receiving faulty pair. Had to send back to MD for refund. Carlos Santos needed to improve their QC.

I received the black version of these shoes. Value for money is absolutely outstanding. I’m no stranger to men’s dress shoes and own Alden’s, Allen Edmonds, Carmina and shoes from other makers. A couple of things I’ll note: -for the price point these might be the absolute best buy in the Oxford/derby category. They put the Allen Edmonds independence collection to shame which are priced around $525. -Stitching is near flawless and symmetry between both shoes is impeccable. More flaws occur when shoes are handmade such as these so that’s a plus when it comes to Carlos Santos. -Patina was nowhere near as exaggerated as shown on the renderings created by Drop. But this wasn’t necessarily a loss in my book, as maintaining a patina means no dyes and I like to occasionally use a black polish. -My own delivery was a month ahead of the expected drop date which was a nice surprise. A couple of critical points on this drop: -Belt isn’t offered anymore. Kind of a hassle but you can always order it from Carlos Santos at a later date, I would still consider this drop considering the price savings. -Some random colors and sizes are offered online at the $270 range so i would look for your color and size online first. The price on these has raised from $260 last drop to $300, but in my opinion they are still worth every penny and I’ll be picking up a second pair. -Sizing was a near true fit to my normal shoe size, one thing I’ll note is that I seem to have a little excess material in the vamp area and that results in a little excess folding when walking. For a more accurate visual the point right below my toes is not hugging the leather before the captoe on the shoe causing excess flexing. Of course this differs from person to person, and this is neither a shoe in the $1000+ range or bespoke so it’s something I’ll easily overlook as everything else is great. The photos are after about 7 wears.
