Is it possible to just get the matching belt? I bought one of their shoes previously.

Did the price increase from the last drop? I thought these were like $250 or so last time.

Ah, well that sucks. Edit - after further research it seems you can get this shoe for about $270 through UK retailers Herring Shoes, Pediwear, A Fine Pair of Shoes (after excluding VAT), etc. I don’t see how this drop is supposed to be a good deal at $300, especially when factoring in return policies and more color options from other retailers.

A few comments on this drop... Bad, So-so and good. The Bad:
  • Drop (aka. MD) has provided ZERO responses or support on recommended sizing
  • PSA for Canadian purchasers: Drop uses DHL as their delivery service for these shoes. While I understand the need to ensure the expensive shoes are delivered, DHL is likely the worse delivery service in Canada. I expected duties and received a notice for $60 in duties which is reasonable. What was extremely disturbing were the brokerage fees and "additional taxes" which ended up adding another $70 to the costs. I would strongly suggest Canadians forego this drop as adding 30% to the costs is outrageous.
The So-So:
  • As others have mentioned, the shoes are not as narrow as portrayed in the photos. They appear almost a bit boxy.
  • Also mentioned: the colour is a bit darker. I bought the Braga and they are more muted orange-brown and not as lighter-orange-brown portrayed in the photo. I will let this slide as I know photos are taken under ideal lighting conditions and monitors vary greatly and colours may not be same as in real life.
The Good:
  • Despite not having any guidance on sizing after leaving two notes on here, the MD community did suggest that sizing was close to actual fit. This was bang on! The shoes fit almost perfectly. THANK YOU MD COMMUNITY!

My AE size is US 9.5 E, and Carmino size is Rain/Forest UK 9 EEE. Should I go with UK 9 / US 10 here? Would it be too narrow?

I just wanted to make sure. I’m an 9.5US on the Brannock. Should I get a size 8.5UK?

Can you speak to width? I’m not narrow enough for a C not quite wide enough for a D for my Brannock size.

Who do we need to talk to about getting Carlos Santos shoes in a narrower last?

@massdrop, there appears to be an error on one of the options in the sizing dropdown... It says "UK 6.5 / UK 7.5" - I believe that should be "UK 6.5 / US 7.5".

That drop just ended a few days ago. Wine Shadow is probably a more conservative approximation of Alentejo.

I got these in Wine Shadow at a size of 12, because I had read some reviews of CS shoes online saying the Z401 last ran a bit tight. But those reviews were wrong, and these shoes really are true to size. I've come to regret buying large, as I'm a size 11.5 (left), 11(right) on the Brannock, and the shoes are just too big to be comfortable for me. That said, the Wine Shadows are a gorgeous oxblood-red in person. I've gotten numerous compliments on them. They are gorgeous shoes though, just too big for my right foot (which is smaller than my left). If anyone wants a pair of thrice-worn size 12 Wine Shadows + matching belt, hit me up.

I wear 12s. I'm waiting for the pair I picked up in the drop, but I'm definitely interested!
