A Modern Tribute to Moto Racing
From Carrera’s spring/summer 2019 edit, these sunglasses borrow elements from old-school motorcycle goggles. The lightweight gold-toned metal frame is fitted with round brown lenses and blue rubber side shields. The thin temples end in tortoiseshell acetate earpieces, and the self-adjusting nose pads provide a secure, comfy fit. Rounding out the style, Carrera’s trademark TANK hinges are inspired by the gasoline tank of the café racer motorbike: another nod to the moto-racing scene.
About Carrera
Founded in 1956, Carrera takes its name from the Carrera Panamericana: a border-to-border sedan and sports car race in Mexico. The company started out making motorcycle goggles and other sports accessories, later focusing its lineup on more fashion-minded eyewear.
