Fantastic sound for not a lot of money

The MT35 was purchased to primarily be a Bluetooth receiver, since I do a lot of searching for new music on my computer. I wanted effortless streaming to my main speakers, the system otherwise using a McIntosh MC452 and C47 sending signals to Tekton Double Impacts speakers. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it sounded out of the box. My system has a Niles speaker selector, which enables switching amps with the push of a button. One of the two CD players has two outputs, coaxial that bypasses the internal DAC in the player and uses the DAC in the preamp, and RCA's. The coaxial went to the C47, the RCA's to the Cayin. That enabled me to A/B this amp with the push of a button against my Mac gear, costing about about 20X what the Cayin sold for at Drop. My first impression was very positive. It wasn't until I had a couple music lovers over to audition my system that the value was confirmed, after dialing in the volumes to be exactly equal, they couldn't tell which one was playing.

A very Sexy little amplifier!

This sounds incredibly good with my Zu DW6 Supreme speakers. It does everything right, from the bass to the treble. That in itself is hard to find in an amplifier, this has just the right amount of that meaty analog sound, along with just the right amount of Sparkle up top with incredible detail. The detail this amp delivers really surprised me, Cayin really knocked it out of the park with this one. When this amp becomes available again, just buy it and thank me later. If you can get it in black, do it. This looks so much better than the usual silver Cayin amps.

Very nice little tube amp

The sound quality is good as usual tube amplifier. The bass is powerful (not too much), but not too warm in treble. It pairs with my inexpensive Klipsch and Martin Login Motion 15i speakers very well. This amp can perform loud enough bass which my Onkyo and Yamaha amps can't provide. Also my pair of Klipsch speakers have better treble performance with the tube amp. The amp is for small and medium size room. I didn't need to turn on the UltraLinear mode when I listen at my den. The only thing I don't really like the amp's weight as this small amp is little bit heavy for me.

Love the sound!

I attached my 20 year old Infiniti floor standing speaker and Audio Technica turn table. I also connected this amp with my Pioneer/Onkyo HiDef player's balanced output to this amp's RCA jack as well as my laptop, and Samsung Galaxy phone via Bluetooth. When I turned on the amp, I didn't hear any noise. Dead silent! Fantastic. After tube got warm up, I played music. Sounds warm yet very clear. Amazing sound. I was blown away by how music sound to my ear! I had THX/DROP amp, Yamaha amp, Onkyo amp, and other cheap amp from Amazon, but nothing comes close to this amp sound. All tube's BIAS was setup correctly from the factory. I'm new to tube amp, so I don't know much detail about tubes configuration, but it just sounds so good. Also Drop HD6XX works very well with enough juice to blow my ear drum out.... I absolutely in love with this amp as of 2nd day of use. I had to wait 3 months before Drop shipped the item, but the moment I heard the sound, it just cleared 3 months of frustration of waiting.

Sweet Cayin

Very pleasantly surprised by this amplifier. It is very well-built and sounds fantastic! At this price, it is a tremendous value. I have experience with modified/rebuilt Dynaco ST-70s and other vintage tube amps, commanding costs in excess of the MT-35Mk2. The Cayin bests them in sound quality, functionality, and ease of use. This is a great product!
