Cayin has gained a great reputation for making high-end DACs, headphone amps, and digital audio players. With the N5ii, the company continues its streak. Featuring an Android 5.1 touchscreen interface, this music player can support popular streaming devices like Spotify and Tidal over Wi-Fi. It’s built around the high-quality ESS9018K2M DAC chip and aims for accurate, high-resolution sound. The portable amplifier can output 150 mW per channel out of the 3.5-millimeter jack and 250 mW per channel out of the balanced 2.5-millimeter jack. Designed for long-term daily use, the N5ii has a CNC-machined aerospace aluminum chassis complete with a stainless steel volume knob.
