Communists killed more people than nazis. This should be forbidden.

wladimirPrecisely. This is morally equivalent to selling a watch saying "3. Reich" on its face, or "NSDAP."

wladimirI think religions killed more than either the communists or nazis, or in fact both of them together. Especially the Catholic church.

KizerThe USSR _was_ a religion. Complete with a dead idol—an object of worship—in a zikkurat smack in the center of Moscow. Children were made to read books about the "good grampa Lenin" from the earliest age. No church can hold a candle to the level of indoctrination that was the USSR. Again, wearing this watch is no different from wearing a watch that says "3. Reich" or "NSDAP" on its face.

KizerAnd don't forget the Pope supported the Nazis. Not to mention the henious crimes the clergy in the Catholic Church continue to commit globally.

DominkoYes, nazis and other war criminals made their way to South America via the Vatican. They soon held positions such as sucurity advisors etc to people in power. The lack of humanity from those in power began to come about from this time, esp the use of torture. The only instruction given by the vatican to these monsters was not to support communism in any way. Chile and Pinochet were essentially a result of this.

wladimirCommunists saved Europe from Nazis, and this a historical fact and not up for debate. 75% of Nazi losses were inflicted by the communists, and 75% of allied losses were inflicted upon the communists. People tend to forget how horrible Nazis were and look back with rose tinted (or propaganda tinted) glasses. right after the war, sickle and hammer flags were proudly flown along with American, British etc flags by all allies. When the events were contemporary it was clear who the bad guys were and it was indisputable. But nowadays, after 60 years of McCarthy-ist propaganda about “red scare”, anachronistic and revisionist views that distort historical truth are taken as “facts”.

giannisg2004Communists enabled the Nazi assault on both Europe and themselves. Versailles Treaty resticted Germany's ability to produce certain kinds of weaponry. In 1922, a secret treaty was signed with Soviet Russia, allowing Germany to produce those kinds of weaponry and train its officers. In 1926, Reichswehr was spending 150 mln. Mark—a third of its budget—on acquiring arms from Soviet Russia. Reichswehr had a pilot school in Lipetsk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipetsk_fighter-pilot_school) and a tank school in Kazan. One of the alumni of the Lipetsk school was Hugo Sperrle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Sperrle). There was also a chemical warfare school near Volsk (a town near Saratov), the existence of which was deeply classified. Junkers was producing several airplanes a year, starting from 1924, at a plant near Moscow. The pro-Nazi writer Paul Carell (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Carell) wrote that if not for the Lipetsk school, Hitler would have needed ten more years to create an airforce that would be up to speed with the times. Thus, the Soviet Union was _literally_ responsible for, for example, the Blitz, which killed at least 40 thousand civilians and destroyed over a million houses (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blitz). Komintern (the network of Communist parties across Europe directed from Moscow, whose main goal was preparing the Communist power takeover around the world) has chosen to consider not the rising parties of Hitler and Mussolini as its enemies, but the Social-Democratic forces. Thus, between 1928 and 1933 the propaganda spouted by the Communist party of Germany was mostly directed not against NSDAP, but against Social Democrats and their allies, which made Hitler's ascent to power much easier in 1933. This list continues. There would have been no rise of the Nazis without the Soviet Union. Stalin's goal was aiding in setting the Western countries against each other, so that they could weaken each other in war and he could grab additional lands and see about Communist takeovers in the muddy waters across Europe. This is the cold historical fact, glazed over (or simply not known) by those who know nothing about history but the most general facts (like the "common victory"). Stalin's efforts eventually backfired, because Hitler was also a madman who had his own goals, and after using Russia to buttress up the German army, Hitler turned on Russia. The announcement made across the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941 (when Germany attacked the USSR) spoke about a "treacherous" attack (the literal meaning of the word is "faith-breaking" or "trust-breaking"). That was because the audience in the Soviet Union had previously been accustomed to newspaper announcements about cordial exchanges of best wishes and assurances of friendship on special occasions between the Soviet Union and the Nazi Germany. There is historical evidence that Stalin (who was deeply hurt by this backhandedness) tried to renegotiate, offering Hitler a different scheme of divvying-up of Eastern European lands than had previously been agreed upon under the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molotov%E2%80%93Ribbentrop_Pact [edit: for some reason the copypasted link is not working; use this text "Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact" in Wikipedia's search]). But Hitler ignored these attempts, having decided he had come into his strength. After that, Stalin did help to put the genie back in the bottle, but it was Stalin who had helped the genie gain strength in the first place. The cost of this was millions of lives and wide-scale destruction. The 75% of losses inflicted upon the "Communists" happened because Stalin would throw sometimes basically unarmed people into battle like cannon fodder, because those people were "politically unreliable"; and their marching forward was ensured by barrier troops (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrier_troops). But yeah, let's worship the monster who helped created another monster, because in the long run, the monster did help to beat back the second monster.
